Boy London Revival
Boy London is a name that will always be associated with Boy George but in fact it was a label born out of the 1980s that was much more than a Culture Club fad.
Stephane Raynor set up Boy London in the 1970s around the time Malcolm Maclaren and Vivienne Westwood were setting up there shop SEX in the Kings Road. These were times influenced by the Pink Rock scene in London's Kings Road and Stephane set up a stall selling Acme Attractions with John Krevine.
Run by DJ Don Letts this little stall attracted celebrities from Bob Marley to Boy George.
By 1976 The Boy London label was born and they opened there first shop on Kings Road selling Punk Rock clothing. Soon the 1980s rolled in and Boy London became a cool name in the high street as the cool new Romantic kids took the label as there own.
Stephanes friends took the label to new heights (Boy George, Steve Strange) hanging out at the Blitz Club and mixing there loud Boy London logo garments with there New Romantic makeup and hairstyles of the 1980s.
