Emilio Pucci Vintage Clothes
Emilio Pucci was born in 1914 in Florence Italy, he became one of the most recognised designers of his era with his geometric prints in kaleidoscope colours. Other talents saw his merge this passion with Politics, he was also a keen sportsman with his first designs for a Skiing team as winter sports were his favoured pastime. His unique designs were soon noticed and in 1949 he produced his first swimwear line, he had learnt to manipulate stretchable materials and swimwear was a perfect move to the catwalk for his talent. Stanley Marcus of Neiman Marcus encouraged Emilio to use the fantastic designs in blouses and then a popular line of wrinkle-free printed silk dresses.
Early in the fifties, Pucci was gaining international recognition, receiving the Neiman-Marcus Award in Dallas and the Burdine's Sunshine Award in Miami. Celebrities of the time loved his creations with film stars like Sophia Loren and Jackie Kennedy choosing his dresses, even Marilyn Monroe was buried in one of his dresses. Today Pucci is a name still many famous people wear like Madonna in the early 1990s.
