Christain Dior
Christian Dior is one of the most famous fashion labels of all time. Classic lines inspired by Christian Dior's desire to create beautiful clothes for women. Started in 1946 the House of Dior he was amazing at creating shapes and silhouettes using wonderful full fabrics. Dior is quoted as saying "I have designed flower women." Today Christian Dior Vintage is high sort after and is regarded as high end vintage fashion with couture pieces reaching many thousands when sold as auction.
Yves Saint Laurent
Yves Saint Laurent is a name world renowned for his influence in The House of Dior and his personal creations including his 1970s Russian collection. Saint Laurent a young man of 21 was selected as the head designer of the House of Dior after the death of Christian Dior. His spring 1958 collection almost certainly saved the House from financial ruin. His clothes, shoes and accessories are collected especially from these periods although you can find great YSL vintage pieces late into the 1980s and early 1990s still class as vintage fashion.
Coco Chanel
Coco Chanel was one of Frances most important figures in history let alone fashion. Founding her fashion label in 1910 Chanel inspired the male influenced look she is so famous for. Simple cuts that define her designs which have been carried in the fashion houses collecting throughout the decades. Vintage Chanel is hard to find and amongst some of the highest priced vintage clothing. Couture early pieces are priceless but Chanel is far better know for their little suits complete with the Chanel logo buttons.
Guccio Gucci
Guccio Gucci founded The House of Gucci in Florence in 1906, an Italian fashion designer and business man specialized in leather making leather bags for horsemen in the 1920s. This was the beginnings of a famous Italian fashion house which is known for the "Little Black Dress" also excelling in hang bags and other leather items. Vintage Gucci bags and sunglasses are very popular with designs from all era bearing the distinctive Gucci emblem. Gucci is a house hold name in high end fashion not just Vintage clothing with most vintage Gucci are hard to find as they always reflect classic lines.
Emilio Pucci
Emilio Pucci produced one of the most recognised printed silk textiles, using beautiful fabrics and unique pastel shaded prints in swimwear, scarves, blouses & dresses. This Italian designer's vintage clothing are worn by the rich and famous and his amazing dresses have a unrivaled place in print history. His beautiful vintage clothes are highly sort after and for all pockets with the most popular items being smaller garments like printed bags and scarves. Vintage Pucci is available at auction regularly, becareful when you purchase to check out the vintage label to ensure authenticity.
André Courrèges
André Courrèges accredited as one of the designers of the 1960s mini skirt, modern designs with a very young feel to them. Courreges designed in geometric lines using unusual materials and Space Age styled accessories like white Goggles with slits. Using mostly primary colours or metallic in his early work in the 60s, which for his work is a great vintage era to collect. Vintage Courreges are some of the most distinctive vintage clothing with items like his fabulous glasses occasionally available. Early dresses and boots are hard to find with more modern item from the 80s & 90s appearing more frequently.
