Guccio Gucci founded the house of Gucci in the early 1900's making leather good he soon expanded with help from his brother opening a new store in 1938. By 1951 the Gucci brothers opened their Milan store and two years later the company expended to the USA with the opening of their Manhattan store. Guccio spent his final years in the UK living in Rusper, West Sussex.
